🚨 JUNE 30 SHUTDOWN WARNING: “PEOPLE WILL DIE” – ZIBI SOUNDS ALARM OVER RISING TENSIONS

South Africa’s immigration debate is becoming increasingly heated, with RISE Mzansi leader Songezo Zibi issuing a stark warning ahead of the planned nationwide shutdown on June 30.

Zibi says the current climate surrounding anti-illegal immigration protests has become dangerous and could lead to deadly violence if tensions continue to escalate. He warned that political leaders and activists fueling public anger may distance themselves from the consequences if violence breaks out.

Key Facts:
• The planned June 30 shutdown is linked to growing calls for stricter action against illegal immigration in South Africa.

• Zibi believes years of weak border management, economic stagnation, unemployment, and pressure on state resources have contributed to the current crisis.

• President Cyril Ramaphosa has already warned that no individual or group is allowed to take the law into their own hands and that only law enforcement authorities can deal with immigration violations.

• Government ministers have urged protesters to remain peaceful and within the law, warning that violence and intimidation will not be tolerated.

• Organisers behind the shutdown insist they will proceed with their plans on June 30, despite government concerns about public safety and social stability.

As the deadline approaches, fears are growing that clashes between communities, protesters, and foreign nationals could spark unrest in parts of the country. Authorities have repeatedly called for calm while promising stronger immigration enforcement through legal channels.
