I’M WORKING HARD TO FIX THE ECONOMY – HH

President Hakainde Hichilema (HH) says he is working hard to fix the economy to create jobs and business opportunities.

The high cost of living compounded by shortages of the country’s staple food is creating anxiety with the opposition calling for him to step down.

The price of mealie meal for instance is going at over K300 in some parts of the country and is scarce contrary to his promise of bringing it down to K50 from K150 it was selling when he ascended to the presidency.

Yesterday after an interaction with the residents in Livingstone, he wrote:

This afternoon in Livingstone, we took an impromptu walk-about to meet our fellow citizens and hear first hand the challenges they are facing and how government is addressing them.

We told them that that we are determined and working hard to bring back an economy that was brought down to its knees, and will leave no stone unturned in creating an enabling environment to create jobs and business opportunities for our people.

We thanked them for their solidarity and support.

Hakainde Hichilema,
President of the Republic of Zambia.
