If you fell pregnant in G9, you now can go back to school without paying — Hichilema
PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema yesterday told Ndola residents why he believes Zambians should give him another mandate in next week’s general election.
Among the achievements he highlighted from his five years in office was the free education policy, which he said has enabled girls whose education was interrupted by teenage pregnancy to return to school without paying tuition.
“If you fell pregnant in Grade Nine, you can now go back to school without paying. It means your children, your grandchildren, their children and their children will continue going to school free of charge forever and ever, Amen,” President Hichilema said.
The President also urged voters to support his re-election if they wanted the Social Cash Transfer programme to continue.
He further directed UPND leaders in Ndola to compile the names of eligible individuals for consideration under the Social Cash Transfer programme.
