I said it , Sakala thinks he is bigger than the Chipolopolo and am not surprised.
Having been part of the AFCON Under 20 Local Organizing Committee during the Tournament hosted and won by Zambia, I saw the arrogance, pride and unsportsmanlike behavior of Fashion Sakala.
For him the Under 20 National team was about him, he felt and acted as the Star of the team but as fate would have it, humble but lethal Patson Daka won the Player of the Tournament and went on to bag the African Young Player of the Year.
I have always believed Fashion is a selfish, egoistic player who thinks he is the best player in the Chipolopolo. I personally do not think it would be wise to include him in the National team especially after calling his Coach and fellow players corrupt.
Fashion is not the greatest thing that has ever happened to Zambian football. We had great players who were dropped for various reasons but none has ever been so scandalous and malicious.
Anyway for now I encourage Fashion to bring the evidence he has and also name the players he alleges bought their places in the Chipolopolo. At least he has the opportunity to prove his case as the good principle of law says ” he who alleges must prove”.
