I CHASED LEADERS WHO ENGAGED IN CORRUPTION AT HEROES CHOLERA CENTRE – MASEBO
MINISTER of Health Sylvia Masebo has disclosed that she chased some health supervisors at the Heroes Cholera Centre because they were engaging in corruption.
And Masebo says although the President had directed that volunteers in cholera centres should be permanently employed, some of them would not qualify because of restrictions in the law.
During a media briefing held at the National Heroes Stadium Cholera Treatment Centre yesterday, a journalist asked Masebo to clarify the information that some supervisors at the center were fired for corruption and tampering with register of volunteers.
In response, Masebo clarified that she only chased them as they pocketing money meant for volunteers.
She added that she didn’t have the powers to fire them…
