I CAN’T SUPPORT MUNDUBILE, HE IS SURROUNDED BY THE WRONG PEOPLE – KALABA
Citizens First (CF) president Harry Kalaba says he cannot support National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) presidential candidate Brian Mundubile because he believes the people around him do not share the values of the Orange Alliance.
Speaking during an interview on Radio Delight Kwitonta in Chinsali, Kalaba said although he considers Mundubile a good person, he is concerned about some individuals surrounding him, alleging that they were associated with cadreism, corruption and other practices that do not align with the principles of the alliance.
Kalaba said his experience in the Patriotic Front (PF), which he left because of what he described as wrong behaviour within the party, has made him cautious about entering political alliances without first ensuring both sides share the same beliefs and values.
He said the Orange Alliance would not compromise its principles for political convenience and would only work with parties whose values are consistent with its own.
Kalaba also questioned the source of funding for Mundubile’s campaign, saying there was a need for the NRPUP leader to explain who was financing his campaigns and the intentions behind the funding.
The Citizens First leader made the remarks during a radio interview in Chinsali as political parties continue campaigning ahead of the August 13 general election.
