HUBBY KÍLLS WIFE AFTER DOG FEASTS ON COUPLE’S DINNER
A 24-year-old woman of Lavushimanda, Muchinga Province, has been mùrdered allegedly by her 28-year-old husband after he discovered that the relish his wife prepared had been eaten by a dog.
Prudence Mupanga is said to have been mùrdered on Monday around 19:00 hours allegedly by her husband, Mwenge Chelanda.
Muchinga Province police commanding officer Paul Achiume said the couple had a misunderstanding on the fateful night over the relish she prepared for supper.
Mr Achiume said the relish was found to have been eaten by the dog, which angered Chelanda, who kicked his wife on the stomach.
“The wife died immediately after she was kicked on the stomach and the murder was later reported to the police by the couple’s neighbour,” he said.
Mr Achiume said police officers went to the scene and found that her body had no visible injuries.
The body is in Mpumba Rural Health Centre mortuary awaiting post-mortem while the suspect is in police custody.
