HUBBY KĮLLS HIMSELF AFTER KĮLLING WIFE, SON
A 32 year old woman of Masaiti District on the Copperbelt Province and her three year old son were murdered by her 42 year old husband who later committed suicide by hanging himself to a tree 50 meters away from their home.
The women has been identified as Barbara Nyoni of Kabamba Resettlement Scheme while her husband has been identified as Bright Shimbile.
Central Province Police Commissioner Charity Munganga says the incident happened between Wednesday and yesterday as the woman was last seen by her neighbours on Wednesday when she was coming from the grinding mill.
Munganga says the two decomposed bodies were discovered by the neighbours after they saw flies on the door and an awful smell coming from the house.
She has told Byta FM Zambia News that Police Officers inspected the bodies and discovered that Barbara had multiple deep cuts on the head while her son’s head was completely chopped off.
Munganga says police suspect that an axe was used in the act as it was found at the scene, stained with blood.
Kabamba Resettlement is in Masaiti but policed by Kapiri Mposhi because of proximity.
