HIGHLIGHTS OF PRESIDENT HAKAINDE’S TOUR OF THE EXPANDED ZAMBIA BREWERIES PLC PLANT
Today, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia Mr. Hakainde Hichilema toured the expanded Zambia Breweries PLC plant in Lusaka.
Below are the highlights:
✅ The President commended Zambia Breweries PLC for investing $80 million dollars in the expansion of the facility noting that this kind of investment will help diversify the nation’s economy, provide new opportunities, and benefit the Zambian citizens.
✅ The President reiterated Government’s clear intention of expanding the economy as a top priority.
✅ Rather than considering these investments as negative, the President has urged the public to support the ventures.
✅ He stressed that it is through such investments that the New Dawn Government has been able to increase the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to 30.6 million per constituency this year from the K28.3 million last year.
✅ The President has since encouraged Zambia Breweries PLC to continue bringing ideas that the government and the people of Zambia will support.
✅ He further urged the company to support Sorghum, Cassava, and Sugar growers among others.
✅ The President has since encouraged Zambian businesses to partner with others to boost trade, create jobs, and bring efficiency in service delivery.
