HICHILEMA REPLACES IGNATIUS MWANZA WITH NGENDA NYAMBE AS CEO OF ZICB
The IDC has picked Ngenda Nyambe as new Chief Executive Officer of the Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank (ZICB) to replace Ignatius Mwanza.
Mwanza, a veteran and astute banker, was fired for allegedly being too close to Lusaka Catholic Archbishop, Dr. Alick Banda.
Mwanza sits on the fundraising committees of the Adrian Mungandu Boys Secondary/College and the St. Ignatius Secondary school.
The IDC has since recruited Ngenda Nyambe, a former Director of Treasury at the Zambia National Commercial Bank (ZANACO) as new CEO.
ZICB is a product of the restructuring of the former Intermarket Banking Corporation Zambia Limited, which the Bank of Zambia took possession of on 29th November 2016.
ZICB has also been given assets, buildings and bank accounts of INVESTRUST Bank which has been placed in liquidation.
