HH ATTEMPTED TO OCCUPY OUR FARM WITHOUT LEGAL DOCUMENTS – HATEMBOS

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema, while in opposition between 2005 and 2020 attempted to occupy Farm No 1924 in Kalomo district, which farm at the time belonged to Milton and Pheluna Hatembo without legal documents, a statement of claim filed in the Lusaka High court in 2020, has revealed.

According to the statement which was only filed in 2020, the Hatembos are alleging that Mr Hichilema attempted to occupy the said farm from 2005 to 2010 without any legal agreement with the plaintiff.

But in their testimony in the Magistrate Court yesterday, the Hatembos submitted that Edith Nawakwi, the Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) president had promised the two money and houses if they appealed the case in which they had sued President Hakainde Hichilema for fraudulently and illegally occupying Farm No.1924.
