HARRY KALABA URGES UNITY AFTER ELECTION TENSIONS
Citizens First (CF) party President Harry Kalaba has called for national unity following days of emotional unrest across the country.
In a media statement today, Mr Kalaba advanced that anger and actions born from politics will leave lasting scars if citizens are not careful.
Mr Kalaba stated that Zambia is the only country we have, and it must be preserved for future generations.
He added that roads destroyed in anger and shops vandalised in protest harm ordinary Zambians trying to survive.
Mr Kalaba observed that political differences should never turn fellow citizens into enemies.
He noted that this is not a time for despair among CF supporters.
Mr Kalaba said that the party will now return to communities to reorganise and strengthen its structures.
He affirmed that the CF will build from village level upwards, learning from every shortfall.
Mr Kalaba affirmed that his party’s politics remain rooted in ideas and service to the nation.
He noted that governments and parties will come and go, but Zambia must endure.
Mr Kalaba said that there is only one Zambia, belonging to all citizens equally.
This is contained in a statement issued by CF Presidential Media Coordinator Bangwe Naviley Chisenga.
