GOVT ENGAGES INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY IN RETRIEVING TRAPPED MINERS
Government has engaged South Africa to help with the Search and Rescue operation at Sensele Open Pit Mine in Chingola district.
The South African Disaster National Management Centre has been engaged to help with technical expertise.
Chingola Member of Parliament, Chipoka Mulenga says the team will be in on Friday, 15th December, 2023.
Due to rains experienced in the past 2-days in the district, operations came to a complete standstill as engineers have been pumping out water.
