GOVERNMENT WARNS AGAINST PROPAGANDA TARGETING HH

Government has cautioned Zambians to be wary of propaganda aimed at maligning President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA and his administration.

Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary, THABO KAWANA has expressed concern over what he described as continued efforts by some individuals to use falsehoods and propaganda to discredit the President.

Mr. KAWANA says President HICHILEMA over the years, faced various accusations, including claims concerning his religious affiliations and alleged involvement in the sale of some former state-owned companies.

He says the accusations are an attempt to create political controversy ahead of the August 13th General Election.

In an interview, the Permanent Secretary, said the timing and manner in which the allegations are being circulated suggest an effort to associate President HICHILEMA  with claims previously levelled against him

Mr KAWANA said despite the allegations, President HICHILEMA  has remained focused on national development and engaging with communities across the country.

He said the President’s continued focus on development demonstrates his commitment to serving the Zambian people.
