The minister has emphasized that the presence of water at the mines has made it difficult for the works to progress.
He further stated that once that is done, search operations will resume immediately.
He was speaking in Mufulira’s Buntungwa ward when he addressed people ahead of the ward by- elections slated for March, 01st, 2024.
And speaking at the same occasion, Mr Matambo who is also UPND Copperbelt Provincial Chairperson urged party structures to choose a candidate who is the people’s choice.
Mr. Matambo noted that, doing so will help the party have easy campaigns and convince electorates.
He also advised candidates who will not make it for adoption to support the party.
At the same event, the party received over 50 defector from the opposition Patriots Front -PF.
