Former PS Chanda Kaziya Schools Clayson Hamasaka
Before attacking Amb Mwamba there a a few questions that must be answered without emotions here ,Did the BRE issue a statement? Yes, dated 17 October 2026.
Did it formally report concerns about the grave? Yes. It attributed the information to Senior Chief ShiBwalya-Kapila.
Does the statement confirm that armed people were present? It records the allegation; it is not, by itself, independent verification.
Does it establish that the government ordered the search? No. The statement does not identify the people or establish who sent them.
Does it prove that an exhumation was planned? No. It reports alleged efforts to identify the grave, not proof of an authorised or planned exhumation.
Had police or government publicly confirmed the allegation? They have not publicly commented yet
The key point is that the BRE did not merely repeat Mwamba’s name or endorse every claim he made.
It reported information received through its own traditional leadership structure.
That gives the allegation an additional source worth investigating, even though the underlying events still require verification.
- What questions should Hamasaka and Simuuwe answer?
If either man publicly dismissed the allegation as fabricated, these are fair questions to put to them:
- What evidence did you possess when you dismissed the report? Had you established that no armed group had visited the villages?
- Did you contact the Bemba Royal Establishment or Senior Chief ShiBwalya Kapila before dismissing the allegation?
- Can you identify the people reportedly travelling in six vehicles, and explain their purpose?
- Has any police investigation established that the allegation was false? If so, what were its findings?
- If the allegation was false, how do you explain the formal statement issued by the BRE? Has the Establishment withdrawn or corrected it?
