🚨 FOREIGN NATIONALS CAMP OUTSIDE DURBAN HOME AFFAIRS OFFICES FOR THREE WEEKS, SAY THEY STILL FEAR FOR THEIR SAFETY DESPITE PRESIDENT CYRIL RAMAPHOSA’S ASSURANCES AS JUNE 30 DEADLINE APPROACHES 🇿🇦⚠️

A group of foreign nationals, many of them women, children and pregnant mothers, have reportedly spent the past three weeks outside Home Affairs offices on Che Guevara Road in Berea, Durban.

According to reports, the group says they remain too afraid to return to their communities despite recent assurances from President Cyril Ramaphosa that government will address tensions surrounding immigration and protect all people living in South Africa.

The foreign nationals claim they continue to receive threats and fear for their safety as the June 30 deadline approaches. Images from the scene show people sleeping outdoors and relying on donations and community support while they wait for a solution.

The situation highlights the ongoing debate around immigration, safety, border control and the treatment of foreign nationals in South Africa, an issue that has sparked strong opinions across the country in recent weeks.

Authorities are expected to continue engaging with those affected as efforts are made to find a lasting solution.
