ERB INCREASES FUEL PUMP PRICE

THE Energy Regulation Board-ERB, hSas adjusted upwards the price of Petrol, Diesel and Jet A-1 effective February 1, 2024.

A litre of petrol will now sale at K34.19 from K29.98, an increase by K4.21.

Diesel has been pegged at K32.15 per litre from K29.96, an increment of K2.91, while Jet A-1 fuel will sale at K32.69 from K29.29, an increase by K3.40.

Announcing the new prices, ERB Board Chairperson, Reynolds Bowa, noted that the price of Kerosine has been maintained at K20.44 a litre owing to sufficient national stocks.

Bowa explained that the depreciation of the Kwacha against the United States Dollars has resulted in an increase in domestic wholesale and pump prices of petroleum products.
