ERB CHAIRPERSON FIRED
Government has revoked the appointment of Energy Regulation Board chairperson Reynolds Bowa.
The board last week passed a vote of no confidence in Bowa following the approval of Zesco’s electricity tariff adjustment which has since been effected.
“My appointment has been revoked,” Bowa has confirmed.
The board also sent ERB’s Director General Yohane Mukabe on forced leave after it emerged that the recent approval of Zesco’s tariff hike was done without full consultation and prior notice to the government.
