MINISTER of Youth, Sport and Arts Elvis Nkandu and his counterpart SME Minister Elias Mubanga yesterday visited the funeral house of the late United Party For National Development UPND Muchinga Province Chairlady Mrs Magerate Mutale Banda who died on Thursday last week after a short illness.
The two Ministers who arrived in Muchinga Province late evening yesterday were received by the ruling party acting Provincial Chairman Mr Lovewell Nsofwa together with other party officials.
Speaking during the visit at the funeral house, the two Ministers conveyed the message of condolences to the family of the late Mrs Magerate Mutale Banda from the Republican President of Zambia who is also the ruling party President Mr Hakainde Hichilema.
Mr Nkandu who further consoled the family also described Mrs Magerate Mutale Banda as a true patriot who will be greatly missed by the Ruling party because of her positive contribution to the growth of the party.
Meanwhile, the two Ministers are expected to attend the burial of the late Mrs Magerate Mutale Banda who will be laid to rest on Tuesday next week.
