ECL attackers identified, reported to police
UPND cadres involved in the recent ambush of former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu have been formally identified and reported to the Zambia Police at Chingola Central Police Station. The incident has raised concerns over political violence in the country.
The police recorded the inquiry under OB. 10225. So far, six of the nine suspected attackers have been identified as Brian, Musoka, Mutuna Chivunda, Bridget Soko, Patrick, and Martin.
They reportedly used three vehicles; a Toyota Corolla, a Toyota Alphard, and a Toyota Mark X during the attack on former President Lungu’s motorcade. Patriotic Front (PF) vice president Given Lubinda has strongly condemned the attack on former President Lungu, urging law enforcement to investigate the matter with impartiality.
