DPP SAYS STATE HAS OFFICIALLY TAKEN OVER FARM SEIZED FROM TASILA LUNGU
The State has officially taken over a farm belonging to former President EDGAR LUNGU’s daughter, TASILA, situated in Sinda District of Eastern province .
The seizure of the farm follows a judgment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Court which established that Ms. LUNGU failed to justify her source of income to warrant the purchase of the farm.
And Director Public Prosecutions -DPP-, GILBERT PHIRI says the government is working on a bill for management of forfeited properties.
Mr. PHIRI says law enforcement agencies have recovered and forfeited to the state, a lot of properties, suspected to be proceeds of crime, which are benefiting Zambians.
