DAYS OF CADREISM IN THE CIVIL SERVICE ARE NUMBERED – SAYS MUNDUBILE

At a mammoth rally in Mpulungu, Brian Mundubile, presidential candidate for the National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity, made a compelling promise to transform Zambia’s civil service by eradicating cadreism.

He said that he is committed to promoting fairness, professionalism, and inclusivity within government institutions which are principles that resonate deeply with citizens seeking transparent and effective governance.

He said that the practice of favoring political affiliates or loyalists over qualified individuals in public service employment and promotions, has become a challenge.

He explained that cadreism undermines meritocracy, creates inefficiency, and breeds disenchantment among employees and the public alike.

By vowing to end such patronage, Mundubile signals a paradigm shift towards a civil service that values competence and neutrality above partisan loyalty.
