Crystal Palace defender Guehi demand high

Liverpool is considering making a summer bid for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

However, competition from Manchester United could also be on the horizon, according to reports from The Telegraph.

Although Guehi is currently contracted with Selhurst Park until 2026, there are doubts about his contract renewal. This uncertainty might lead Palace to consider parting ways with the 23-year-old during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Liverpool is said to be interested in the English international, but Manchester United is also rumoured to be monitoring the situation closely.

The potential appointment of Dan Ashworth as sporting director at United could further bolster their pursuit of Guehi, especially considering Ashworth’s previous interest in the player during his time at Newcastle United.

In addition to Manchester United and Liverpool, Chelsea, Guehi’s former club, could also pose a rival interest. The report indicates that Chelsea is rumoured to have a “matching option” for any potential approaches for the Cobham graduate.

With Thiago Silva expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, Chelsea might be inclined to consider bringing Guehi back to the club
