COURT SET JUDGEMENT DATE FOR MUFULIRA’s KANSUSWA POLICE OFFICER ACCUSED OF DEFILEMENT

The Mufulira Magistrate Court has presided over the case involving a Police Officer of Mufulira’s Kansuswa Police Post accused of indecent assault on one of the two juvenile girls while held in custody at Kansuswa Police post.

It is alleged that Brian Muyunda, aged 46, popularly known as Eitor Bola, attempted to engage in inappropriate behavior with one of the victims, but his advances were unsuccessful.

In his defense, Muyunda stated that the accusation against him were false and manipulative.

Muyunda further denied the latest indecent assault charge, claiming that while on duty, he did nothing to one of the victims.

Meanwhile, Magistrate George Mulenga has adjourned the case to March 4, 2024, for judgment, with the suspect’s bail being extended.

Earlier, the suspect was acquitted on defilement charges involving the two girls, who were apprehended for loitering at night around 22:30 hours on July 2, 2023.

This alleged defilement incident occurred when the duo were in police custody at the aforementioned police post.
