COURT ORDERS CHITOTELA TO PAY K5,960,000 HE OWES AZADI INVESTMENTS LTD

The Lusaka High court has ordered Former tourism and arts Minister Ronald Chitotela to pay back the k5, 960,000 debt he owes Azadi investments Limited.

When the matter came up for Judgement, the Court Commanded the Sherif and his bailiffs to seize the goods and chattels of Ronald Kaoma Chitotela to satisfy the sum of K5, 960,000, being the balance of the principal amount owed to Azadi Investment Limited.

It further ruled that interest at the short-term Bank of Zambia rate of 9.5% must be included.

The court ruled that Chitotela must pay the said amount and interest to Azadi Investment Limited, together with costs mentioned in the judgment.

The judgment says the costs are to be taxed and allowed by the taxing master of the said court and the sum to be taxed will appear on the certificate of the said taxing master.

The court told the Fieri facias to execute the writ and appear before the court immediately after execution to report on the manner of execution.
