COPPERBELT POLICE PREPARED AS COUNTRY APPROACHES CAMPAIGN PERIOD – YUYI
Copperbelt Province Police Commissioner Mwala Yuyi says police are prepared to maintain law and order as the country approaches the campaign period and general elections.
Speaking to the media in Ndola, Mr Yuyi said police will ensure that peace is maintained and that all political parties are given a level playing field.
He emphasized the need for political players to conduct their activities within the confines of the law.
Mr Yuyi said police are ready to work with all political parties, adding that all stakeholders must follow laid-down procedures
He however warned that police will not hesitate to enforce the law against any political party or individual who fails to comply.
