CONVICT KAMBWILI HIRES SANGOMAS FROM DRC, AS LAWYERS ADVISES HIM TO WITHDRAW THE APPEAL BECAUSE HE MAY GET A LENGTHY SENTENCE
Convict PF aspiring candidate Chishimba Kambwili has sought for the services of witchdoctors (Sangomas) from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in a bid to overturn his conviction.
But lawyers representing Kambwili have insisted that he made a huge mistake and gamble to appeal the five months conviction because the Kasama Magistrate was too lenient hence he may get a stiffer punishment at the High Court which can even be three to five years imprisonment with hard labour.
The lawyers are of the view that Kambwili should just have served the five months imprisonment because normally one is released after three months of conviction.
The evidence of hate speech by Kambwili is too much because he was even banned by the Electoral Commission of Zambia during campaigns ahead of the 2021 elections.
But close family members have revealed that the master of hate speech and tribalism Kambwili has now engaged a Sangoma from DRC to secure freedom from jail during the appeal.
“Yes ba Kambwili has sought for the services of the Sangoma from DRC. As a family we believe that is the best he can do as at now. Those things work. We have seen many people who have won more difficult cases using Sangomas “, a family member confirmed.
The Sangoma came into the country on Friday last week and currently at some lodge in Luanshya where they will start the rituals with Kambwili.
