COMMISSIONER YUYI DIRECTS MAKEBI AND MUNDUBILE TO LEAVE THE COPPERBELT
Makebi Zulu reported that heavily armed police officers from the Copperbelt Province, directed by Commissioner Yuyi Mwala, had surrounded and barricaded Fatmols Lodge.
Makebi explained that he and President Brian Mundubile were staying at the lodge after attending a church service in Chipulukusu earlier that morning.
According to Zulu, Commissioner Mwala demanded that they leave the Copperbelt Province immediately, asserting that their presence was illegal due to an expected visit by Mr Hakainde Hichilema in Ndola later that afternoon.
However, Zulu emphasized that they had refused to comply with this order, asserting their rights as citizens of Zambia.
He maintained that, just like Mr Hichilema, they had every right to be in the province.
Zulu stated firmly that they would neither run nor hide, underscoring their determination to remain despite the police presence.
