Chipolopolo Striker Kennedy Musonda has expressed confidence in Zambia’s potential to triumph at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), emphasizing the importance of passion for the country in the team’s performance.
In an interview with the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Media, Musonda highlighted that success in football goes beyond individual fame, stressing the significance of collective desire and teamwork.
“We also have big players in the squad but the most important thing is our desire, passion and working together as a team,” he said.
The Young Africans Sports Club Striker, part of the Tanzanian Premier League, expressed his excitement about being included in the final Chipolopolo Squad and pledged to give his best for his country.
“It was nerve-wrecking waiting to see if I will be picked and it is an honor for me to be given the chance to represent my country at such a level,” he added.
Musonda called for continued fan support, citing its positive impact on the team’s confidence and morale.
The Chipolopolo left for Jeddah last night aboard Emirates Airlines for their international camp in Saudi Arabia ahead of the AFCON which commences on 13th January.
