Don’t blame Avram Grant. Chipolopolo simply no longer has quality strikers that can rise to the occasion when national duty demands. Thus why, Chipolopolo has never qualified for the World Cup.
Bruce Mwape, the coach for the Copper Queens, may not be the best coach Zambia has ever had. But he is a coach that has produced the best results ever for Zambian football. He is the only coach to have led a national football team to qualify to the World Cup, the ultimate for football.
However, even if Bruce was charged with the responsibility to coach Chipolopolo, the team performance and results will not be any better than the current. Most likely, the results will be worse off.
Why is Bruce super performer at Copper Queens? Because he has at his disposal quality strikers that rise to the occasion when duty demands: the likes of Barbra Banda and Rachel Kundananji.
Otherwise, from manager Avram Grant’s 676 record of games as a manager, he has 353 wins, and only 167. Zambia’s poor performance has contributed to his record of loses.
