CHIPOLOPOLO BEGINS TRAINING IN MALAWI

THE Zambia men’s National Team has begun training ahead of the Malawi Invitational Four Nations tournament slatted for the current FIFA international break going on to 26th March, 2024.

The Football Association of Zambia-FAZ, indicate that Coach Avram Grant and his technical bench conducted training Monday morning on 15 players that included China based Stoppilla Sunzu and Tanzania domiciled Clatous Chama.

Sunzu and Chama will fly with the local contingent to Lilongwe, Tuesday, while the rest of the foreign based players will fly directly to Malawi.

Zambia will open its FIFA window assignment on Saturday against Zimbabwe at Bingu National Stadium at 14:00 hours while Malawi and Kenya will clash at 17:00 hours.

Winners of the two matches will face off on March 26 while the losers will play each other in the early kickoff on the same day.

Malawi is hosting the Four Nations Tournament as part of giving the participating teams an opportunity to prepare for the June back-to-back FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

All the participating teams have named strong sides for the Malawi assignment.
