C5 OFFICERS ARRESTED IN ARMED ROBBERY CASE
Two Zambia police officers commonly known as C5 and four civilians have appeared before the Lusaka Magistrate Court accused of aggravated robbery.
The suspects namely Francis Kayando and Newton Hamukamba both police officers acting together with four others are facing five counts of aggravated robbery involving over K1 million.
It is alleged that the suspects whilst armed with an AK 47, stole 1 pallet gun worth K1,000, a safe valued at US$5000 and US$1,720 cash, the property of Tractor ZAM limited.

Involved are Male Detective Seargent Kayando of Matero, and service number 39318, Detective Constable Newton Hamukamba Lusaka Division Homicide of service number 44626.
The two were arrested together with Male Martine Mulako, Frank Mukuwa, Michael Mutale and Nicholas Mwila a Neighborhood official from Community Police 5 ( CP5).
These people are suspected to have been involved in a spate of robberies around the country among them, on Cairo road on November 12. 2021 and Cosmopolitan Mall on January 27. 2021.
The suspects that were nabbed linked to this operation included James Mulenga alias Big Moze aged 48 who was picked from Chingola on the Copperbelt.
Big Moze who works with different groups at a particular time was allegedly involved in a robbery in Kitwe’s Kamfinsa area in which prominent Kitwe Businessman Irvin Chilufya of Copperfield Mining was hacked with a Machete in full view of his family.
Big Moze was also involved in the attacking of a White family in Chipata Eastern Province in which an AK 47 Rifle was involved om December 24.2021.
Please don’t naive to take everything you hear or read from some of these police officers, they are highly compromised.
