🟥 BUDANOV: PUTIN FEARS FOR HIS LIFE AND THE STABILITY OF HIS REGIME

Ukraine’s military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov believes Vladimir Putin’s greatest concern is no longer simply the battlefield, but the future of the system he has spent nearly three decades building.

“Having built a stable system, just leave? And for what? To be afraid of what his successor will do next?” Budanov said.

It is an interesting observation.

After 27 years at the center of Russian power, Putin’s legacy, security, and political survival have become intertwined with the survival of the regime itself.

For leaders who remain in power that long, stepping aside is rarely a simple matter.

The question becomes not what comes next for the country, but what comes next for them.

Budanov argues that threats to the stability of the Russian system may ultimately become one of the factors pushing Moscow toward seeking an end to the war.

That is where Ukraine’s long-range campaign becomes relevant.

Every refinery hit.

Every fuel depot burned.

Every disrupted railway.

Every strike against military logistics.

Adds pressure not only on the battlefield but also inside Russia itself.

When fuel prices rise, shortages appear, flights are disrupted, and infrastructure comes under repeated attack, ordinary Russians begin asking questions.

How long will this continue?

How much longer will the costs grow?

When will the war end?

Wars are not decided solely by what happens at the front.

Sometimes they are influenced by what happens hundreds of kilometers behind it.

And increasingly, Ukraine appears determined to make the consequences of the war impossible for Russia to ignore.
