Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists set Chibok schools ablaze
By ZR Reporter
Terror has once again gripped the Chibok Local Government Area in Borno State Nigeria following a brutal Saturday night raid by suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters. The assault, which began around 7 p.m., saw the attackers focus their rage on local infrastructure, setting both the primary and day secondary schools ablaze.
For the residents of Kautikari, this is a grim chapter in a long history of violence, as the village has repeatedly been targeted by insurgents. The sudden violence forced families to flee into the surrounding wilderness in a desperate bid for survival. A security source from the village, currently based in Maiduguri, confirmed the tragedy, noting the panic of the residents as they watched their community’s educational pillars burn.
While the exact number of casualties remains unclear, the destruction of these schools is a crushing blow to the community’s spirit and its children’s future.
