ZAMBIAN CATHOLIC PRIEST SHOT DEAD IN SOUTH AFRICA

Story By Francis Kaite

In a shocking turn of events, Mutonyo Times has received information of the tragic death of Father William Banda, the Parish Priest at Tzaneen Catholic church in South Africa who’s origin is Zambian, after he was shot in cold blood before morning mass this morning, the 13th of March.

According to information made available to Mutonyo Times by reliable sources, Father Banda was preparing for morning mass just before 08:00 this morning. Reportedly a few of the parishioners were in attendance when a well-dressed man entered the church and went and sat next to Father Banda.

Allegedly the man then escorted Father Banda to the Sacristy (a room in a church where a priest prepares for a service, and where vestments and articles of worship are kept) where a short while later gunshots were heard by those parishioners in attendance.

According to our sources the gunman then allegedly walked out of the church and drove off in his vehicle.

It is reported that nothing was stolen from the Sacristy and none of the parishioners were harmed.

Police have already been at the crime scene and investigations are currently underway.

The make and model of the vehicle in which the man fled was not made clear and there is currently no further updates on the matter.

This is a developing story and we will publish further details as soon as it is made available to us
