Army soldier collapsed after learning shooter died!
IMPECCABLE Sources close to the tragic death of Warrant Officer Class II Matimba Habeenzu have revealed information to TV Yatu suggesting that, shortly after being discharged from the University Teaching Hospital—UTJ where she was nursing a bullet wound, the 40-year-old asked for her phone from her mother, who was reluctant to release it.
When her mother reportedly yielded to pressure to release to her, her mobile phone, it is alleged that the now deceased logged onto social media and found the platform awash with her story, and the tragic death of her alleged shooter, Warrant Officer Mwanauta Chansa.
The sources tell TV Yatu that, Matimba was gravely disturbed by this and moments after, she collapsed.
Yesterday, the news of her death filtered through various online media platforms and authorities confirmed her death stating that, “The deceased had been receiving treatment at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) and was discharged on June 25, 2026.
“After returning home, she suddenly became unconscious later that night and was rushed to Maina Soko Medical Centre, where she was pronounced dead on arrival around 00:05 hours on June 26, 2026.”
Warrant Officer Matimba of the 10 medium regiment of the Zambia Army was allegedly shot in the forehead on June 13, by her male acquaintance, Warrant Officer Mwanauta Chansa, who subsequently allegedly killed himself by reportedly ingesting a pesticide, twice.
