Am I Heading Toward Elder Maponga’s End?
A musing by Rev Walter Mwambazi

Since I started my watchman designate duties here on this blue app which includes

👉🏾 Challenging conventional Christian thinking
👉🏾 Calling out the charlatans in Christendom which includes the Papas and their elders, the Heretical Prosperity Gospel teachers
👉🏾 Raising deep debates about many assumed teachings perpetrated by the church

A number have now been asking or declaring this. They believe that I am now on my way to recanting my Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let me allay your concerns, that’s a BIG PHAT NO!! I shall never do that. I had an encounter with Yahusha 27 years ago when He visited my room early morning on Sunday 22nd June and imparted into my life a profound part of Himself. This was after my “dramatic” conversion the previous evening.

I shall never forget that.

But when the Lord chose to call me out of darkness and into His marvellous light, I was truly in that darkness. I have always been a SEEKER. That means precisely that. I don’t subscribe to the “yes sir pastor sir” doctrine even when it’s obvious the pastor doesn’t even know what they are speaking about.

I am an inquisitive person. I ask questions. I learn from the answers I receive. I don’t know about you reading this, but I have an active and living relationship with the Holy Spirit and when not sure, I ask!

Unfortunately, religiosity thrives on ignorance. Beware of any church or gathering where they discourage genuine inquisition and use fear to silence you into subservience!

I always laugh at religious sheeple because they are too afraid to ask, choosing to follow even when it’s lies. That’s why they tell you to beLIEve instead of asking.

Thankfully, my Lord Yahusha Hamashiach always implores me to “come and let us reason together”!

He gave me a mind that is intuitive, sound and provocative, and I put it to use instead of being sheepish! Too bad if that scares you

I understand

I can tell you this. I believe the Elder has lost his way. And since he is very knowledgeable, many are deceived by his teaching. I stand to disagree with many aspects of that teaching.

So, don’t worry. I am still clinging to that ole rugged cross till I exchange it some day for a crown!!
