STOP THE INSULTS-CHITIMUKULU URGES YOUNG PEOPLE
Mwine Lubemba Paramount Chief Chitimukulu Kanyanta Manga II has called on young people from his Kingdom to desist from insulting him on social media over his decision not to involve himself in political disputes.
The traditional leader says, as an elderly person and custodian of the traditional institution, he deserves respect and should be allowed to handle national matters through diplomacy.
Chief Chitimukulu says his approach to national issues may differ from what some people expect, but that does not mean he is unwilling to address matters of national importance.
He has urged young people to understand that traditional leaders have a responsibility to maintain peace, unity and stability rather than becoming involved in political confrontations.
“I am an elderly person and I deserve respect. I am a person who handles national matters with diplomacy and not the way some of you think I should handle them,” Chief Chitimukulu said.
