Subject: Clarification: No Ties Between Bread of Life and Bishop Chisulo’s New Church in Lilayi
Dear all,
Grace and peace to you.
We write to inform you that Bishop Shadreck Chisulo has opened a church in Lilayi. This is contrary to the understanding reached with our General Overseer, Bishop Imakando, that he would start the church in Shatumbu. Bishop Chisulo even showed the agreed place to Bishop Bambe. We are shocked that the location has now changed to Lilayi.
This action also violates our church policy, which states that a pastor who leaves Bread of Life to open another church must not establish it within 20 km of the nearest Bread of Life church. This policy exists to prevent confusion, rivalry, and division within God’s church.
Be therefore informed that this new church in Lilayi has no ties with Bread of Life. It stands in rebellion against our agreed ethics and the official position of Bread of Life. Any Bread of Life member who joins it will be acting in rebellion against the official position of Bread of Life.
Guidance is hereby given that this matter be officially announced in our nearest branches, including Chilanga, Jack, and Lusaka South, so that all Bread of Life members are fully aware.
Let us remain united, prayerful, and obedient to the leadership and policies of our church.
