STEPHEN KAMPYONGO WELCOMES VICE PRESIDENT MUTALE NALUMANGO TO MUCHINGA PROVINCE.
National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) aspiring parliamentary candidate for Shiwang’andu Constituency, Stephen Kampyongo, has welcomed Vice President Dr. Mutale Nalumango to Muchinga Province ahead of her five-day working visit, which begins today.
Mr. Kampyongo has urged the Vice President to use the visit to clearly explain the objectives of the “Imita Ufole” programme, saying many people believe they will receive cash payments, a misconception he claims has contributed to a rise in pregnancies in some communities.
He has also appealed to Dr. Nalumango to address concerns raised by beneficiaries by ensuring those registered under the programme receive any outstanding payments.
During her tour of Muchinga Province, the Vice President is expected to visit Chinsali, Mpika, Isoka, Mafinga, Nakonde, Shiwang’andu and Kanchibiya districts.
She will also meet civil servants, traditional leaders, members of the clergy and hold public engagements with residents.
