🟪 MOST OF OCCUPIED CRIMEA REPORTEDLY LEFT WITHOUT POWER AFTER WAVE OF STRIKES
Large portions of occupied Crimea are reportedly without electricity following what appears to be one of the most significant attacks on the peninsula’s energy infrastructure in recent months.
According to preliminary reports, 25 electrical substations have been hit, leaving widespread power outages across much of the peninsula.
If confirmed, the scale of the disruption could have consequences far beyond civilian electricity. Modern military operations depend heavily on stable power to support air defense systems, communications, logistics hubs, maintenance facilities, and command centers. Knocking out substations can force Russia to divert resources into emergency repairs while complicating the operation of military infrastructure across occupied Crimea.
The reported outages come amid a broader Ukrainian campaign targeting the peninsula’s critical infrastructure, including airfields, fuel depots, ferry terminals, and electrical facilities. Rather than focusing on a single target, Ukraine appears to be steadily increasing pressure on the systems that allow Russia to sustain its military presence in Crimea.
If the reports prove accurate, the widespread blackouts would mark another significant blow to Russia’s ability to use Crimea as a secure logistics and military hub, reinforcing Ukraine’s strategy of making the occupied peninsula increasingly difficult to defend and operate fro
