Mundubile will improve household welfare, Kabompo voters ready for change, says Malumo

KABOMPO District Council Chairperson candidate Silumesi Malumo says residents of Kabompo are ready for change in the August 13 elections and will support NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile because they believe he can improve their welfare.

Malumo tells TV Yatu that many people in the district are dissatisfied with the current political environment and are looking for leadership that will focus on development and improving livelihoods.

“I am shocked by the way the UPND is conducting its politics in Kabompo. Politics should not be a matter of life and death, but there has been too much violence. People are tired of such behaviour because violence has no place in a democracy,” Malumo says.

He says political parties should promote peaceful engagement and avoid actions that may lead to conflict.

“They condemned the Patriotic Front for alleged violence, but now people are witnessing the opposite. Citizens should not be subjected to this kind of politics,” he says.

Malumo urges Kabompo residents to vote for leaders they believe are capable of addressing their challenges and improving their standard of living.

He calls on eligible voters to turn out in large numbers on August 13 and participate in the democratic process.

Malumo further expresses confidence that Mundubile would bring economic stability and implement policies aimed at improving the welfare of ordinary citizens.

He notes that although the Kwacha has strengthened against the United States dollar in recent months, many citizens say they have yet to experience the benefits in their daily lives.

“The Kwacha is currently trading at about K17 -K18 against the dollar, but many people are not feeling the impact. There is little money in circulation and ordinary citizens are still struggling while only a few seem to be benefiting. This should not be the case,” he says.
