SMAZ TO PAY ITS ELECTION MONITORS K1.50 PER DAY

The Stingy Men Association of Zambia (SMAZ) has announced plans to deploy election monitors across the country ahead of the elections.

SMAZ President Tom Njovu says the association is currently recruiting individuals to help monitor the electoral process on its behalf.

Mr. Njovu stated that each successful applicant will receive an allowance of One Kwacha Fifty Ngwee (K1.50) per day for their services.

He further explained that all monitors will be responsible for arranging and paying for their own transport, and accommodation during the assignment.

The SMAZ President has since urged interested candidates to submit their applications as soon as possible, stressing that recruitment will be conducted on a first come, first served basis.

“Opportunities like these do not come every day,” Mr. Njovu remarked.
