U.S. Air Force B-52 crashes after takeoff at Edwards Air Force Base

A U.S. Air Force B-52 strategic bomber reportedly crashed shortly after takeoff from Edwards Air Force Base in California, triggering a large-scale emergency response.



Images and videos from the scene showed thick black smoke rising above the desert airfield as emergency crews rushed to the crash site. Debris from the aircraft was reportedly scattered across a wide area near the base.



Authorities have not yet released information regarding the number of personnel on board or their condition. The cause of the crash also remains unknown at this time.
