After wider consultations with key stakeholders, yesterday we formally withdrew our participation in the parliamentary elections.
Given the High Court ruling about three weeks ago by Judge C.C. Zulu and Judge Mwila Kombe — delivered three hours before the closure of nominations — that effectively prevented the PF from fielding presidential, parliamentary, or council candidates, we will now collectively channel our energy to have a say and influence who wins the republican presidential ticket, for the good of Zambia 🇿🇲.
Meanwhile, ba Lima and ba Matero, I shall continue to be present there with our Ubuntu and Kakudya Sikachepa projects. It was never about votes, but about the everlasting love for all the people in my birthplace area.
The PF will hold its Central Committee meeting this weekend to make resolutions on our next course of action regarding campaigns for the August general elections.
