2 HOURS OF POLICE DETENTION, SENDS BAROTSELAND YOUTHS INTO FEAR, DISBAND THEIR YOUTH MOVEMENT

“People finish, but not the way Barotseland Nationalist Youth Alliance have finished”
This year, Lusaka Police arrested outspoken youngsters known as the Barotseland Nationalist Youth Alliance. They said good things and dared the police and said things that led us to assume that Barotseland has fearless freedom fighters.
They report to the highest authority in Barotseland, the Litunga, King of Barotseland, Lubosi Imwiko II. He abandoned and ignored them after they were apprehended by police. Not a single BRE Induna paid them a visit while they were in police jail. Chiefs in Southern and Eastern province they would have travelled to visit them if they came from the two regions.
The evil UPND Police confiscated their phones and left them with nothing but re-registered simcards, which were also previously outlawed. We hear Munyinda Munukayumbwa is on simcards and everytime asking handsets from people to use temporarily like a street kid. Muyunda Makala, Mushokabanji Wamui and others live in fear and pray the case is dropped. We hear they now report to police every week as if they work as police officers at Mongu Central Police station. It was just one cold in police cells, their group disbanded like the end of a meeting proceedings.
It is now three months, vocal, security of the Litunga and the so called Barotseland Nationalist Youth Alliance have gone without a smart phones or hearing their voices. Quite sad that their daily updates have vanished like snow. They are quite like dead animals.
The Litunga and BRE have failed to purchase for them even a toy phone to use. When you meet them they look vulnerable like a two days orphan.
Barotseland people have Royal blood. They can’t fight and push something to the end. They have fear in their blood.
We draw a lesson from the once fearless Barotseland Youths that when you have fear and no resources, dont fight battles with people. We exist because we have no fear and we have sacrificed our lives even if it means to be jailed or killed.
