ZAMBIA SEEKS TO EMULATE INDIA’S DEMOCRATIC STRENGTHS IN JUDICIAL REFORMS
In a significant diplomatic exchange, Princess Kasune, Minister of Justice, has expressed the nation’s interest in adopting India’s robust constitutional and judicial systems. During a recent meeting with the Indian High Commissioner to Zambia, the Minister highlighted the need for Zambia to learn from India’s rich democratic experience, particularly in the realm of constitutional reforms and the efficient management of the judicial system.
Hon. Kasune emphasized Zambia’s eagerness to model its legal framework on India’s advanced practices, particularly in the area of online filing of cases. This initiative is part of a broader effort to streamline judicial processes and ensure a more efficient administration of justice, a step that is crucial in bolstering public confidence in the legal system.
The Minister further underscored the importance of fostering closer ties between Zambia and India, noting the two countries’ enduring relationship of 60 years.
