WITCH DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY LICATED IN THE DEATH OF CHONGWE COUPLE
Chongwe couple dies after hosting witch doctor three days prior
POLICE have launched a manhunt for witch doctor who is the primary suspect in a case where a couple died three days after they hosted him.
The bodies of Charles Umba, 29, and his wife Saliva Hatembo, 32 now lies lifeless in a hospital mortuary.
According to police reports, Umba found his wife unresponsive at around 01:00 hours yesterday morning.
He alerted their neighbour, Bertha Mwanza, who confirmed his wife’s death and assisted in transporting her body to the Kanakantapa Police Post.
Tragically, Umba collapsed while at the police station and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Kanakantapa Health Post.
Authorities observed no physical injuries on either body.
Postmortem examinations are scheduled to determine the cause of death.
Both bodies are currently at the Chongwe District Hospital Mortuary.
Meanwhile Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said a search is underway for a witch doctor known as “Dr Simple” who reportedly visited the couple’s home three days before their deaths.

The concoction has has been taken for toxicology testing.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dr. Simple to come forward.
“Your cooperation is crucial in helping us resolve this case.”
“The Zambia Police Service is committed to thoroughly investigating this incident to determine the exact circumstances leading to the deaths of Mr. and Mrs. Umba,” said Hamoonga who expressed his condolences to the family and friends.
