By Leah Ngoma
Vice President Mutale Nalumango is optimistic that there will be no change of government in 2026 despite economic hardships the country is experiencing because Zambians understand that current regime doing its best to better their lives.
Speaking in parliament this morning during the vice president`s question time, Mrs. Nalumango said most of the current challenges the country is facing are as a result of mismanagement by the previous government.
Mrs. Nalumango has emphasized that the UPND has made tremendous progress in turning around the economy which she says was almost collapsing in 2021 as evidenced by the debt restructuring deal.
She is of the view that if the drought was experienced under the patriotic front government, people could have died but this government has managed the situation well which gives her assurance that the UPND will not lose power in 2026.
Mrs. Nalumango was responding to Mpika Member of Parliament Francis Kapyanga and his Mkushi South Counterpart Davies Chisopa who wanted to know what government is doing to alleviate the sufferings of Zambians.
